IV sedation therapy should be considered when oral surgery is expected to be lengthy or more complicated.
It should also be considered if the patient is particularly anxious and needs heavy sedation.
IV sedation therapy doesn't leave any side effects afterward. The patient may still be groggy for a couple of hours so it's best they rest for the remainder of the day. However, they can go back to school or work the next day.
We at Charisma Dental would love to talk about all our sedation options with you. Different people require different types so it pays to understand how each works. Make an appointment today for a consultation!
